罒 vs 皿

What does “罒” stand for? And “皿”?

1. “皿” was derived from the image of “ware, utensil.” It’s usually located at the bottom of a character. Characters with “皿” often denote “ware, utensil, or ware/utensil-related actions”

2. “罒” was derived from the image of “net.” It usually appears at the top of a character. Characters with “罒” often denote “net, net-related actions, or its extended meaning, such as net of justice”

Why do 走, 足 and 步 have foot-related meanings?

Have you noticed they all share a 止? 止 is a foot. 走 consists of a person and a foot to mean walk. 足 consists of a town and a foot, which originally meant that a soldier returned to his town in triumph, but now it only means foot. Characters with 走 relate to walking. Characters with 足 relate to movements of feet.
